Cranes & Hoists
When a crane or hoist needs to slow down or stop, it generates excess energy due to the momentum of the load. This energy needs to be dissipated safely to prevent damage to the equipment. Dynamic braking resistors provide a path for this excess energy to be absorbed and dissipated as heat. By connecting these resistors to the braking circuit of the crane or hoist, they help to control the deceleration process and prevent overvoltage conditions that could damage the equipment.
